NCDFREE are heading back to Melbourne to launch the Innovation Incubator – our latest event which aims to engage the next generation of leaders from health and beyond.
This 150 minute workshop will showcase the wide variety of activities and concepts which NCDFREE has developed and championed since 2013, specifically focusing on the diverse communication and advocacy tools used to engage young professionals and students in the topics of NCDs and Global Health.
Attendees will gain innovative thinking, advocacy and leadership skills through interactive presentations, skill sharing and design-oriented exercises. Ultimately, we aim to connect a diverse group of next generation thinkers and leaders with NCDs, NCDFREE and Global Health through stimulating and exciting activities.
Exclusively for this session, we have secured two emerging young leaders in Lilli Morgan and Dr Rodrigo Rodriguez-Fernandez who will share their skills and experiences.
Lilli Morgan is curious about people, creativity, urban planning, food, the environment, the world, philosophy, and joining the dots. She’s got an undergraduate degree in International Studies, a Masters in Public Health and nearly 10 years experience of working in the marketing and advocacy space. She’s worked for organisations such as Intrepid, the Oaktree Foundation, NCDFREE, The Climate and Health Alliance and Smiling Mind.

Dr. Rodriguez-Fernandez originally trained as a medical physician, and now serves as the Global Medical Director of Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) for International SOS. He also currently serves as the Executive Director and Founder of the NCD Asia Pacific Alliance. Dr. Rodriguez-Fernandez trained as a medical physician and public health practitioner at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Harvard Medical School, Charite University Institute of Tropical Medicine Berlin and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
